PunchBowl Social Detroit
I received complimentary meals and games at Punch Bowl Social Detroit in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own.
I had the chance to visit Punch Bowl Social Detroit last week with some of my fellow bloggers and I had a great time. It was my first time at Punch Bowl Social Detroit, but I had heard so many great things about it and had been dying to try it out.
Entertainment
For starters, this place is HUGE. I was truly amazed with the amount of decor, seating, rooms, and space that Punch Bowl Social Detroit had to offer. It is the perfect place to host any upcoming gatherings or events that you might have. They have arcade style games, fooseball, pinball, pool tables, real darts, shuffleboard, and more. They have an area for bowling, food, karaoke, drinks, and an upper level you can rent out for private parties. It is a perfect social and entertainment facility for you and your friends and family.
Drinks
Punch Bowl Social serves a variety of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, sodas, juice, and the likes. I don’t drink alcohol but I was really pleased when our waiter offered me a non-alcoholic drink that was the perfect amount of fizz and sweetness to satisfy my sweet tooth. It was really refreshing! The other bloggers got to try their famous “punch bowls” and of course they offer non-spiked versions if you want to keep it family-friendly or if you don’t drink alcohol.
Food
The food was truly delicious! We had the chance to sample some of their most popular dishes and I was pleased to know that they offer both vegetarian and gluten-free options available upon request. I will mention that if you’re following a strict diet when eating out like me, then you really need to make sure you request what you need in advanced. If you are gluten free, make sure to let your waiter know so there is no cross-contamination if you have a food allergy.
I got to try the Cauliflower Nachos which I thought were really good. It was the perfect amount of crunch and cheese and the cauliflower was not overpowering at all, it was perfect. I also got to try the stuffed mushrooms and roasted vegetables which I thought were really good, too and I’m not even a fan of mushrooms. They have a variety of other menu items available from burgers and salads to entrees you’ll find truly delicious.
Bowling
A couple of bloggers and I did stay back to bowl and truly experience what Punch Bowl Social has to offer. Our game was pretty fun and I would definitely go back and bring my family– we LOVE bowling. It would be fun to have a friendly competition with them here. There are two alleys here, yes TWO. One is in the lower level that is open to the general public and you can even rent bowling shoes, too. The other alley is in the upper level and is for private parties. I honestly think it’s so cool they have one upstairs. To bowl, it’s $5 during the day and around $7 on the weekend evenings.
The Vibe
What really attracted me to Punch Bowl Social was the atmosphere and vibe of the overall facility. Everyone is really warm and accommodating, there are so many places to sit, eat, and just “chill” with your friends, and I really loved the decor. It had a really nice vintage feel to it that I totally appreciated and made it feel that much more than “just” a bar or “just” a restaurant.
Overall, I had a really great time at Punch Bowl Social and I am already aching to go back. I will definitely be bringing my family back for some great food and fun.
