Late Night Burgers at Famous Hamburger

I have been going to Famous Hamburger for a couple years now and I can honestly say that it’s one of my favorite places to eat. I’m usually there once a week with my sister, having our favorite burgers for a quick lunch before class and they never fail to satisfy our taste buds.

Famous Hamburger was kind enough to host us for a Blogger Meet-up earlier last week. We arrived at 9:30pm and our reserved table was already set up with menus and silverware, just waiting for us to be seated. The host greeted us and confirmed our reservations and then we all took our seats and conversed until everyone arrived.

They have a very friendly staff that were informed on the items of their menu, giving suggestions as we ordered, and asked if we had any dietary concerns of allergies. A few of the girls in our group had dietary restrictions such as gluten intolerance, celiac, vegetarian, so it was very important for our waitress to ask. All of their meats are also certified Halal as well which is very important to me when dining out. They were really nice about placing everyone’s order. They use this tablet that allows them to send out orders directly to the kitchen as they receive them which we all thought was really cool.

We ordered their popular Mac and Cheese Bites, and Two styles of Nachos– one regular and one vegetarian (no beef added). The nachos were amazing, but for me the real star of the appetizer show were the mac and cheese bites! I get these every single time I come to Famous because they are so good!

The mac and cheese is creamy and cheesy with a little kick of jalapeño flavor that is not too spicy or overpowering, and the breading on the outside is crispy to perfection. I dip these in their delicious ranch dressing and just close my eyes and go to heaven. The nachos were really good as well. I love the amount of toppings on them and how they serve the salsa and sour cream on the side. I’ve had these alone as my meal before and they are so filling! Perfect to share with your table.

Each of us ordered something a little different, which I thought was really nice– seeing everyone’s different preferences. When our burgers came out we all had to stop and pull out our cameras. We all went around the table just taking pictures of everyone’s meals because that’s just what bloggers do! We can never just eat our food when it arrives. I thought this was pretty funny!

Famous Hamburger prides itself on great quality food and service. All of our orders came out in a timely manner and because of the way they are so organized in taking our orders and the care that they put into making each order, none of our orders came out wrong despite our large party! I was really impressed. You can be sure that they will take your food allergy seriously.

Famous Hamburger offers a wide variety of options and I guarantee you will find something on their menu that you will love! They offer so many choices of burgers like their California burger, Swiss Mushroom Burger, Black Bean Veggie Burger, the Juicy Lucy burger, Grilled Chicken Burger and their Famous burger (the original one that made them famous!).

Among these burgers are dozens of others that are all so delicious and I know this because we’ve pretty much tried them all over the years! You can also create your own burger or modify one of their popular ones. I usually get an original cheeseburger with no tomatoes and a side of waffle fries– plain ol’ Jane. My sister’s love adding a fried egg to their burgers and even getting them on croissant buns!

They also offer entree meals like grilled boneless chicken, chicken quesadilla, baguettes, wraps, tenders, fish & chips and a wide variety of salads. They also have a kids menu so your little ones will be satisfied, too.

Lastly, one of my favorite things to get at Famous Hamburger is their hand-spun shakes! You can’t go to Famous and not get one. They come in vanilla bean, chocolate, strawberry, and mint chip. You can even add malt to them if you’d like. Or be spontaneous and grab yourself a signature freezer featuring snickers, M&M’s, cookie dough, Reese’s Oreo and more. They are so delicious and satisfying.

Here is the full menu and you can take a look for yourself!

The Hider family started their burger business back in Lebanon in the 1970s. They were pretty famous for having their own little "white castle" restaurant and when they arrived to the states, they made sure to open up for business here too. Since they started their East Dearborn location, they have been able to branch out with other locations. Currently there are three Famous Hamburger locations with two more in the works!
