Brome Burgers and Shakes in Dearborn #WhenInBrome

Last week, Brome Burgers and Shakes hosted us for a blogger event and it was truly amazing. There are a ton of burger joints here in Dearborn, each one offering something a little different than the other. But one that stands out to me is Brome Burgers and Shakes. It's a mix between a restaurant (with the sit-down atmosphere) and a fast food place (except, higher quality food)!
Brome Burgers is located on the west side of Dearborn, Michigan in a great location just a short drive from the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village. They are an eco-friendly and environmentally conscious restaurant that prides itself on sustainable business practices.
Brome was kind enough to host a group of bloggers and I to try their menu and experience their service. It was my first time at Brome and I was thoroughly impressed, as was everyone who attended. Right when you walk in you are greeted and seated. You are surrounded by eco-friendly aspects from every angle of the restaurant which I really appreciated because it put me in a really happy mood.

They take the design concept of their restaurant very seriously. You can tell how much thought and effort went into making the overall atmosphere of Brome a place where you can feel like you're truly making a difference by dining there over other restaurants. It has a very nice industrial vibe which makes is a cool place to hang out with your friends and enjoy great food as well as a place you can take your entire family to for lunch or dinner.
Their shelves are made from reclaimed wood that were pulled from the Dearborn railroads when the Dearborn Amtrak Station was being renovated– how cool is that? They have solar powered ceiling fans that provide a nice, comfortable environment for their customers. They also have an herb garden that the community is encouraged to be involved with as well as where they get some of their ingredients. What grabbed my attention right away was the living wall and the cool thing is that all the plants have a self-watering system.

But not only does the atmosphere of Brome captivate you from the get-go, but the staff and service is also something that cannot go unnoticed. They are so friendly, organized, and efficient. They treat you like family and really want you to have a wonderful time there so they take their customer service very seriously. If you have a food allergy, they will ask and make sure you are treated as equally as the other customers to satisfy your needs.
The food was absolutely delicious. Because we had a large group, we were able to really see a variety of items that Brome offers which is great because now we know exactly what we'd love to try for next time. They offer 100% organic beef burgers that come from grass-fed cows as well as non-GMO ingredients so you can be sure you’re getting great quality food. All of their meat is certified Halal and they also have vegetarian and vegan options available as well. If you have a gluten allergy, Brome has you covered. They offer gluten-free buns to make your burger experience truly worth it, but if you're not feeling the bun you can have your burger wrapped in lettuce, too.
They offer a variety of fries options as well including kosher salt & cracked pepper, cajun spiced, garlic & cilantro, and truffle & parmesan. I personally chose the cajun-spiced fries and they weren't very spicy which I loved! I thought it would be overpowering but it was just the right amount of spice to allow me to enjoy my meal. Other fries options include sweet potato, tater tots, sweet potato puffs, and you can add chili and cheese to your fries for a small fee.
I really enjoyed my burger. Whenever I get a burger, I like to keep it simple and have whatever original burger the restaurant offers. Brome's did not disappoint. I added cheese to mine and skipped out on the tomato, asked for organic beef to be cooked well and had it served with a side of cajun fries and an Oreo milkshake. My meal was delicious! The burger was really juicy and you can honestly taste the difference in the beef. The buns were toasted just right and all of the toppings were really fresh as well as the dressings which are all made in-house.
Brome Burgers also offers a variety of other meal options such as sliders, fresh salads, sandwiches, and a kids menu as well. They have a variety of drinks to choose from and you can use their self-serve machine to choose your beverage or you can order a delicious hand-spun milkshake. These were amazing. They were just the right amount of thickness blended with your favorite toppings. The milkshakes were so flavorful and sweet but not to the point where you couldn't enjoy the rest of your meal. You can have this as dessert or eat it with your meal like I did. I got the Oreo milkshake and they also offer vanilla bean, chocolate, salted caramel, reese's, cornflake, strawberry and marshmallow. So many options!
Overall, I had a really great experience at Brome Burgers and Shakes and I cannot wait to go back with my family soon. If you're looking for a healthier, eco-conscious restaurant to try next time you're in Dearborn you cannot miss Brome. You will love it!
