I recently had the opportunity to try out Blaze Pizza thanks to Amber of Metro Detroit Mommy who organized our blogger event at the restaurant!

I have never been to Blaze Pizza before and since pizza is my all-time favorite food, I was very excited to say the least. Blaze Pizza offers freshly made from-scratch pizza with a wide variety of artisanal ingredients to chose from through a convenient assembly line style.

There are so many great options to chose from at Blaze Pizza. You can either create your own pizza or chose from one of their signature pizzas. I love that customers have the option of customizing their own pizzas and you can even customize one of the signature pizzas as well.

The price is definitely something to rave about. You can choose as many toppings as you'd like, it doesn't effect the price! Unlimited ingredients for just $6.95 a pie. If I ordered at most 3 toppings at other places, my total would be triple that! There are so many ingredients to choose from including arugula, artichokes, spinach, applewood bacon, zucchini and more.

  • 1 Topping Pizza $5.85
  • Simple Pie (sauce & cheese) $5.00
  • Build Your Own Pizza (unlimited toppings) $6.95
  • Signature Pizza $6.95

You start by choosing your dough– they even have gluten-free options available as well. Then you move on to the sauce, meat toppings, vegetable toppings, and then they bake the pizza in their 600F degree oven! Talk about HOT. It bakes super quickly, in about 180 seconds! (No more waiting 20 minutes for your pizza!) And then they slice it and serve it to you in your own pizza pan.

What I loved was that there were several people working the stations. Each person had a specific task– one for the dough, sauce, cheese, meats, vegetables, and then a person to bake it for you as well. This assembly style gets your pizza ready from start to finish in such a quick manner, I was so impressed. You can seriously come to Blaze Pizza and enjoy a fabulous pizza on your lunch break during work because of how fast they make it.

I tried the Red Vine pizza and it was delicious! It comes with ovalini mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, parmesan, basil, red sauce, and olive oil drizzle. I was able to add olives on half of my pizza in place of the cherry tomatoes (I have a love-hate relationship with tomatoes) and I also added oregano. The crust was honestly the best thin crust I've ever tasted on a pizza, it was absolutely delicious! It was crispy but soft enough to eat without hurting your teeth. The sauce was great and I loved the flavor combination of the basil and ovalini mozzarella. I would definitely get this again.

At Blaze Pizza you can also choose from a variety of salads and they also serve drinks and a s'mores pie dessert that they bake for you in the oven as well. I'm planning on trying a salad next time I go because the other bloggers loved it!

We (we as in Hope from A Busy Mom's Slow Cooker Adventure) were able to get the chefs to make us a dessert pizza. Hope is allergic to gluten, so she wasn't able to try the s'mores dessert they offered because of the graham crackers. They generously made us ALL dessert pizzas and they were freaking delicious! This dessert pizza is not on the menu– sorry guys! But I bet if you keep requesting it, they might make it part of the menu some day.

I really loved the atmosphere of Blaze Pizza as well, it was so inviting. It had a contemporary feel to it that just made me feel welcome. There were so many tables, chairs, and benches and it's a very spacious restaurant altogether. They even have a separate section towards the front that is perfect for events or larger gatherings.

The staff was so friendly as well. Through the assembly line, they all wore smiles, made sure to ask if I had any allergies, recommended toppings to me, and each member addressed me by my name. Chef Jeff and Tim offered us different selections of pizzas to try as well including the Veg Out (both gluten free and regular) which we all thought were delicious.

Michigan currently has two locations of Blaze Pizza one in Royal Oak (the one I went to) and one in Novi with another one opening soon in Kalamazoo. Huge shootout to head Chef Kent for his amazing recipes and Darla, the marketing director for making this entire event happen.

I received a free meal to try out at Blaze Pizza in Royal Oak however without the expectation of a blog post or social media integration. I loved it so much that I wanted to introduce Blaze Pizza to my readers! All opinions are my own. Giveaway made possible by Blaze Pizza in Royal Oak.
