Milford Farmers’ Market Opens with Cinco de Mayo Celebration!
The Milford Farmers’ Market will launch its 2016 season with a Cinco de Mayo celebration featuring family-friendly activities, flavors inspired by Mexican culture, and a colorful selection of local foods and goods.
Opening day will feature a performance of folk and rock infused music with pop undertones by Detroit singer-songwriter, Mary McGuire. Visitors can savor the taste of Mexican cookies while children break into a piñata and gather candy, they can also release their creativity with the market’s Cinco de Mayo inspired kids’ crafts.
The Milford Farmers’ Market is a vibrant weekly celebration of local roots that brings a wide array of and fresh Michigan produce and locally-sourced and handcrafted goods to the charming Village of Milford, along with live entertainment, music, games, contests and children’s activities.
Each week, visitors will enjoy visions of local farmers unloading freshly picked harvest, scents of sweet strawberries and kettle corn popping and the sounds of the community gathering for great local music.

The Milford Farmers’ Market continues from 3-8 p.m. every Thursday through Oct. 20. Live music and entertainment will take place from 5-7:30 p.m. every week.
East Liberty Street between South Main and Union streets
- A visit from the Ann Arbor Symphony on July 14, who will perform “Taste of Music,” and host the instrument petting zoo experience, where children can try out various musical instruments for themselves.
- The return of the Olde Time Country Fair on August 11, a local favorite with music, a pie eating contest, children’s’ games and a historical site tour.
- The Third Annual Dog Fashion Show on September 8, a must-attend for pet lovers, where doggie divas strut the red carpet in costume.
