Medifast Month One Results

I don’t know if it actually counts as one entire month though, but we’ll go with that.

I started my Medifast weight loss journey on July 4th and it’s been an interesting experience to say the least. I decided to start Medifast during the month of Ramadan because I was really eager to just get the ball rolling on my weight loss goals.

I prepped all of my meals and was ready to go. My first week on Medifast was amazing. It was easy to follow, all of my meals were perfect and I followed the plan to a T. I made sure to drink lots of water and was in a great mindset to stay determined.

After my weigh-in, I was on cloud 9. I decided to treat myself for my hard work with my all-time favorite food ever– pizza. Granted, I only had one slice along with my lean and green, but it was the start of a horrible cycle I couldn’t break out of! That week I was also running low on my Medifast meals since I had only ordered for 2 weeks to start off, but I would sneak little things here and there with my meals without even realizing.

Old habits die hard, right?

Then, I started finding it more difficult to eat all of my Medifast meals in the short window-period I had during the month of fasting. I was eating 6 meals a day in 7 hours! That’s about a meal an hour and for a normal schedule you’re suppose to have one meal every 2-3 hours. So it was a LOT of food.

One I got my one-month order, I stayed on plan again and felt so much better. It always takes me a moment to realize how much better I feel when I stick on my plan, so I promised myself to be 100% on plan since. Granted with the damage I did while waiting for my order to come in, I wasn’t expecting a miracle of a weight-loss but I am still so proud of my weight loss this month nonetheless!

A loss is a loss.

My total lost this month was 7.4lbs! I usually gain so much weight during Ramadan, so I am extremely pleased with my results. Also I’ve learned that Medifast works if you STICK WITH IT, so I just need to get back into that mindset. I am so excited that this is a new month and my goal for this month is to lose 8lbs. I know I can do it.

Starting Weight: 150.6lbs
Month 1 Results: -7.4lbs
Current weight: 143.2lbs
Goal weight: 125lbs

    Great job on the weight loss! It’s always hard when you first start out, but it usually gets a bit easier the farther you go!

    I started medifast 3 weeks before Ramadan i was doing great I lost 7 lbs in 3-4 weeks but now that Ramadan started I can’t stomach editing my med meals and the lean and green. The lean and green was already to much for me in one sitting when I was on the 5&1 because prior to medifast I was trying to lose weight by eating vegan. But after fasting my stomach is so small I can only bare to eat one med meal at sahoor and less than half my l&g at iftaar. My stomach hurts all day everyday and I’ve been drinking tons of water at least 40 onces in the morn and 20-40 at night I force it. They told me to take more probiotics but I feel horrible when I do I’m tempted to just get off the plan till Ramadan is over. I get cramps and diarrhea all day so far 4 days in a row. The doctors don’t understand medifast and think it’s unhealthy for meloaing weight so fast and the medifast folks just want me to drink more and increase my fat and protein which I can’t physically do. Please any words of wisdom?? I have so much anxiety from All the med food I bought like 1300 bucks worth and paying the center 1000 to weigh me in another state because the one in my state closed.
