Healthy Tuna Salad Recipe: Tuna Bites! #OceanNaturals

Canned tuna is a staple in our pantry and we try to make a healthy tuna salad recipe at least once a week.

Tuna is a great source of protein and contains Omega-3 fatty acids that are essential to our health and development.

What I love about canned tuna is that it is convenient and completely versatile. There are so many recipes you can make using canned tuna, from pasta and sandwiches to salads, pizzas, and more.

My favorite way to prepare canned tuna is by pairing it with an assortment of vegetables to create a healthy tuna salad recipe.

I like to use cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, red onions, lettuce, and celery – but you can pretty much use whatever you have on hand.

I love eating tuna for lunch because I can transform it into a quick and healthy meal when I’m running low on time or if I’m in between classes at school with a short break.

The best part is that you can prepare all of your vegetables ahead of time, so all you have to do is arrange your tuna bites in about 5 minutes!

Healthy Tuna Salad Recipe

Prep Time: 10

Total Time: 10

Ingredients:

1 can Ocean Naturals Canned Tuna Packed in Water
1 Cucumber
1 Tomatoe
2 Celery Stalks
1/2 cup Lettuce
1/2 cup Red Onion
1/2 cup Carrots
2 Tblsp low-fat Mayonnaise

Directions:

Chop all of the vegetables.
Mix the Ocean Naturals Canned Tuna with the celery and mayonnaise.
Arrange your tuna bites starting with the cucumbers as the base.
Layer the tomatoes, then a scoop of the tuna salad, then top with shredded lettuce, carrots and red onion.
