Back to School Shopping at Fairlane Town Center

Thank you Fairlane Town Center for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

Growing up in Dearborn, Fairlane Town Center has always been one of our favorite places to hang out. The large mall is perfect for those looking to get some shopping done with anchor stores such as JCPenney, Sears, and Macy’s. There is also an AMC Theater, a large food court and eateries throughout the mall, as well as some of my personal favorite stores such as H&M, Forever21, Bath & Body Works and so much more. It is home to over 125 stores and restaurants.

I could honestly spend all day at Fairlane because it has everything we need when we are planning on getting some serious shopping done. We love going to Forever21 and H&M to see what is trending and pick up some of our Back to School essentials like scarves, sweaters, and dresses. Here are some trends I noticed wile shopping at Fairlane recently.

On display you will find a lot of layering. Layering your outfits is a great way to add more dimension to your style. You can layer with other clothing pieces like sweaters and cardigans, or you can even layer by adding some accessories you can really make a statement with your looks.

One trend I’ve noticed throughout the mall is the boho-chic style. A lot of stores will have flowy and flared dresses and cardigans with funky prints, tie-dye patterns, crochet-styled holes, fringes, and more. You will even find this trend on accessories like bags and backpacks, as well.

Throughout many stores on display you will find a lot of plaid shirts and long sleeves and I’ve even seen some scarves as well. Plaid shirts are making a statement this fall because they’re a cool way to add a statement to your style if you’re wearing all solid colors. You can even take a plaid shirt and wrap it around your waist for a more edgy look.

This came as a surprise to me, but you can actually grab some school uniforms at Fairlane, too! If you go to Justice, they will have some on display in a variety of sizes and colors. They carry a line of white blouses and polo shirts, cardigans, skirts, khaki’s and so much more to make going back to school in a uniform even more appealing.

Throughout the mall you will find a lot of separate window displays from brands throughout the store letting you know what’s in style this season. I honestly love walking around the mall, even if I’m not planning on purchasing anything. It’s so fun to see what’s trending each season and what’s on display. Plus there are always a lot of great deals going on, too.

Oh, So Simple Rewards!

Now you can earn rewards when you shop! By signing up for Oh, So Simple Rewards at Fairlane, you can earn $10 when you spend $250. By linking your credit or debit card to your account, it will automatically keep track of your rewards every time you use your card to pay for your items. Signing up is easy and only takes about 5 minutes in the mall, or you can sign up online, too. When you sign up at the mall you’ll get a cute bag, too.

I wonder how it is possible I have not been to this mall? I live to shop and shop to live. One thing I have not been able to pull of is Boho Chic, maybe it is not my style. Looks like you could shop for days and still never get it all done. Love a great shopping center and Fairlane town center looks to have plenty for back to school

This looks like so much fun! I haven’t gone back to school shopping in a while now, but almost miss it for the change of the new year and signifying a fresh start. Thank you for sharing, this looks like a great place!

Looks like a great mall to visit. I love all of those stores so that would certainly be a mall I would go to a lot.

The mall has all of my favorite stores – I would definitely shop there for back to school! The lunch looks delicious! I’m a sucker for fries and those look amazing! I can’t wait to add some candles to my mantle for fall.

This post just made me homesick! Aside from American food, American shopping is one of the things I miss most since moving abroad. This post took me right back home to when I had no idea how lucky I was to have access to so many stores and insanely low prices compared to VAT-oppressed Europe.

I have not been to Fairlane in years. I’m not really sure why, as we live only literately minutes away from it. Looks and sounds like they greatly improved it. I’ll have to check it out one of these days.

Ohhhh, love the Children’s Place! It’s a fave. And who can resist walking by a Bath & Body Works without a little sniff? This looks like a great place to shop!

This mall looks like a wonderful destination to get all of your shopping needs taken care of. The Children’s Place is one of my favorite stores! Affordable prices and quality clothing is a must with active, growing kids.

My favorite back to school trends are the preppy uniform look that is in style. I think it’s a nice, clean look that looks put together and trendy but still a classic on boys or girls.

It’s surely back-to-school season! I just went with my nephew some time ago to help him go shop. Anyhow, this mall that you went to looks like it has anything for anyone :D

I’ve never been to this mall before. I wouldn’t mind visiting this mall. The fries look so good. Bath & Body Works is like my retreat. I love creams, body sprays and their soap. It smells so good. Thanks for sharing.
