High Fiber Blackberry Lemon Smoothie + $100 Meijer Gift Card Giveaway!

Thanks Meijer for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

Having a diet that’s rich in fiber can help you maintain a healthy weight and can also lower your risk of diabetes and heart disease. Since the number one cause of death in America related to heart disease, it’s no surprise that most Americans don’t get enough fiber in their diet.

I’ve teamed up with Metamucil and Meijer to focus on the importance of fiber and how easy it is to get your recommended amount in your diet each day. In 1934, Metamucil(R) introduced 100% natural fiber to the world. Today, the Psyllium fiber in Metamucil is shown to give multi-health benefits.

Benefits of a Fiber-rich diet

  • Helps you feel less hungry between meals*
  • Helps maintain healthy blood sugar levels as part of our diet*
  • Helps lower cholesterol to promote heart health*
  • Helps promote digestive health*

Sometimes we need a little extra help getting our recommended intake of fiber in our diets each day and that’s where Metamucil can help. Metamucil offers a variety of products that can help fill in the missing gaps of fiber in your diet. Options to choose from include fiber capsules, fiber singles, fiber powered, fiber wafers, probiotic supplements, and health bars.

I love using the Metamucil fiber powers because they are so easy to use and versatile to include in my meals. I love mixing Metamucil into 8 ounces of water for a delicious way to add fiber to my diet, but my favorite way to include Metamucil is in my morning smoothie.

Blackberry Lemon Smoothie

This blackberry lemon smoothie recipe is one of my most treasured smoothie recipes I created during the summer time this year. The addition of the lemon and honey really create a wonderful flavor that adds another dimension of flavors to this smoothie. With ingredients like blackberries, and raspberries, and Metamucil, I have easily created a smoothie with over 15g of fiber!

In most of my smoothies, I like using the addition of spinach to help stabilize my blood-sugar levels throughout the day. Don’t be afraid of this addition because you will not even taste the spinach in the smoothie! It’s a super discrete taste so you can get away with making this blackberry lemon smoothie for your kids, too.

What is your favorite smoothie combination? Do you use Metamucil?
