Backyard Activities for Your Little Ones Under $20 at Meijer!

Thank you Meijer for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.

School’s been out for a couple of months now and we have been keeping the kids entertained with weekly “field trips” to the zoo, waterparks, museums, and amusement parks. Of course we can’t do these activities on a daily basis, so it’s a real treat for the kids and in the meantime we have our own fun right in our backyard. We grab some of our favorite backyard essentials from Meijer and the kids have so much fun all day long.

Activities Under $20

There are so many backyard activities you can purchase at Meijer– all under $20! What a steal. We went to archery today and the kids couldn’t participate and they were super bummed and I actually ended up finding these kids’ archery set at Meijer for less than $10! I grabbed some sidewalk chalk for Zach for just $0.60! There were a lot of garden-like tools that Zach likes like rakes, shovels, etc and those were less than $5. They have sport activities like lacrosse, softballs, footballs, soccer balls, hula hoops, frisbees, bubbles, and so much more for less than or around $10.

I’m pretty sure you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for to keep your little ones entertained and having fun right in your backyard all day long. Of course if you’re staying outdoors you’ll want to make sure the kids are wearing sunscreen! We like to have a variety of water activities for them as well like water balloons, a water slide, and sprinkler just to make sure they stay cool while having fun.

I remember in the summer time, getting together with my cousins and playing outside. We would rollar skate up and down the road, play hopscotch and have water gun fights. I think its important that kids learn to have fun without spending a lot of money

I love all the fun that can be had outside in the summer months. Since moving to Tennessee, I really miss not having a Meijers. They always offered such great deals and had everything I needed all in one spot. We are truly enjoying the last weeks of summer and everything we can pack into them.

Hey now, don’t be giving my son more reasons to play outside in this sweltering heat! No, actually, he does need some new toys for the back yard. He’ll enjoy most of these.

Although I’m spending my summer in Italy I miss those little getaway weekends in the summer to the zoo, etc. We usually end up doing them in the fall or spring.
