Back to school season is upon us and as exciting as it may be for some moms, I know how stressful it can be for others. If you’re a stay at home mom, you may feel like you don’t have enough time during the school day to get everything done on your to-do list and before you know it, your kids are home.

Dinner isn’t even ready and you’re having a bit of a panic trying to put snacks together to keep them full just a little longer. I’ve been there– heck I’ve been one of those kids. So I know the feeling. I’ve decided to put together a quick list of after school snack ideas you can make ahead of time so you don’t have to worry about what your kids will eat in between meals.

These after school snack ideas are made for snacks not meals, so feel free to adjust as you see fit. A lot of them include complete proteins (apple + peanut butter) to keep your kids full for a couple of hours while they do their homework or wait for dinner. Snacks are meant to be fun, small, and tasty so don’t be afraid to get creative! You can also make big batches and divide them up for the entire week too.
